Do you want to participate in the Victory Ride to Cure Cancer, but just aren’t comfortable riding a bike on the open road? This year, we have a new way to ride that is perfect for you!
Thanks to our friends at CycleBar Brier Creek, you can join us for Victory Ride Spin! The 45-minute sessions will take place live at the Victory Ride event site on September 5. We’ll bring traditional indoor cycling classes outside, featuring an instructor from CycleBar Brier Creek, as well as have classes to live music.
“Everyone knows someone who’s fighting cancer. Both of my grandparents were diagnosed with different types of cancer in the past year,” said Kiersten Kronschnabel, general manager of CycleBar Brier Creek. “To have the ability for all of us to come together and to tie into a cause that all of us at CycleBar Brier Creek are really passionate about, it’s an opportunity that I am so excited about. It’s an emotional experience, but in the best way possible.”
Registration fees and fundraising minimums are the same as any Victory Ride participant, and you are also able to choose multiple time slots or participate in a relay with five friends, family or co-workers.
“Even though I’m not a huge cyclist, I really enjoyed the event last year and planned to participate again this year,” said Betsy Zurawel, who participates in the Victory Ride alongside her co-workers at KPMG. “I was very excited to see the spin class as an option and look forward to participating in a way that’s a little more my speed.”
No helmet. No balance. No steering. If you haven’t been on a bike in a while and aren’t comfortable riding on the road, this is the perfect option for you to still be a part of our Victory Ride team.
